About

A Thousand Mornings is an attempt to slow down, to pause, reflect and discover the world around us. It’s waiting for days for a single glimpse of the Kanchenjunga, learning the recipe for popti (roasted broad beans) in rural Maharashtra, listening to Baul singers in Kolkata or practicing pottery in Himachal. It’s an exploration of places, people, food and books.

We like to travel without any fixed plans or itineraries, lettings the days take shape of their own accord. We love it that way. On some days, we solely visit fictional worlds. So this is as much a literary journal as a travel one. Our shore walks are with Mary Oliver, treks with Muir and star gazing with Asimov. Join us as we walk our portion of Earth.
