I don’t recollect when I started collecting them, just that they are piling over, spilling out of files now. Not that I’m complaining. Over the course of my travels, it just became a habit of sorts to hunt for postcards. Not the simple photographs you get from street sellers, but illustrations and quirky ones. Like these two I picked up from Auroville in Pondicherry.
Or the Mario Miranda ones here. I actually went crazy spotting the Miranda collection where I was staying in Goa. I would go there everyday, hunting for more, going back and forth on what to get for they were all so good.
Then, there are these really vibrant ones, resembling Thangka paintings that I picked up in Sikkim last year. The paintings, themselves, were out of budget, but I like to feel I got a bit of it back with me.
But coming back to the topic, inspired by a friend, I’m running a giveaway. If you want one, all you have to do is comment on the post and send me your address details on thewandererstrail@gmail.com. Simple! Also, spread the word, for it’s all for the love of postcards!
I want I want!! Love your collection 😀
Thanks Yashna. Just send your address 🙂
