Lost as ever when will I find my way
Beneath the shroud of defiance I lay
Wrapped in a cocoon, all alone
I batter away the countless worries he sends my way

Bruised and heartbroken
From the endless naggings, misgivings,
A lack of faith reposed in me
I wish I could end it all away

But whether a cowardly attitude
Or some faith in life holds me back
Makes me crawl on my haunches
And rise up yet again

Falling more than climbing
In the pursuit for happiness
I ask him if he sees a plan in
Ruining my life this way

Mind numbed
I try to seek the answer
How can someone who love you
Stand to see you bleeding this way?
